*PPO Insurance is accepted as an Out-of-Network Provider: What does it mean to be an "Out-of-Network" provider?
If you choose to use your insurance, all fees are paid upfront, I will provide you what is called a "superbill" for services, you submit this to insurance, and then you are reimbursed by your insurance carrier according to their schedule of benefits. Depending upon the carrier, reimbursements are usually received between 2-3 weeks after submission.
What is the "Therapy Hour"?
Fees are based on a "therapy hour", which is typically between 45-55 minutes, depending on client need. This allows the remaining time to receive payment and for me to complete your session notes.
Cancellation/Missed Session Policy:
A scheduled appointment means that time is reserved only for you. If an appointment is missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the client will be billed at a flat $80. Late cancellations (less than 24 hour notice) are charged $50.
***Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
